House WD is an interior renovation and transformation without volume extension of a classic 1960s villa. Our design aimed at creating openness and authenticity. The ground floor was completely stripped and today the rather classic facade hides large and luminous interconnected spaces that open onto the redesigned garden and swimming pool. A new raw concrete staircase connects the basement, the ground floor and the first floor, allowing the living space to be extended with a sauna, billiard room, and wine cellar. The uncovered existing concrete ceilings lend the house authenticity, which is even reinforced by the new site-poured concrete staircase.
